How do I pay via Stratocash™?
Simply begin your transaction on the site of the merchant. On their point-of-sale page, where you choose how you want to pay, click on the Stratocash.com button to be directed to our site. Choose the payment method you wish to use. Follow our simple instructions to complete your transaction. When we receive your payment, we'll communicate it immediately to the merchant, and they'll ship the goods. You receive an email from us when we've received your payment and communicated it to the merchant.
Where do I mail my payment?
Before you mail your payment, you should go to the merchant you want to subscribe to or buy something from and click on the Stratocash™ link. That will direct you to our site with the information we need from the merchant in order to communicate your payment to them once we've received it.
When you come to our site from the merchant's site, you will be sent to an order form on our site where you will select how you want to pay. When you submit that order form, you will receive detailed instructions guiding you through the rest of the payment process. Those instructions will include our address if you have selected a payment by mail option.
Can I actually pay by cash?
Of course! Though we don't recommend sending cash through the mail, we will accept it, and you can pay in your local currency. We strongly suggest taking the time to get a cashiers check or money order instead of sending cash, but if you really do want to send cash, you should be certain to use only registered/certifed mail, or FedEx, or UPS--or any delivery service that will provide you with tracking information and proof of delivery.
Can I get an account opened TODAY?
Absolutely. We accept a number of payment options that communicate payment to us within hours. Payment options such as Western Union, check-by-FAX, TravellersExpress MoneyGram, CertaPay and many others communicate your payment to us very quickly.
Other options, such as PayPal and e-gold, communicate payment to us almost immediately IF you have your wallet/account funded when you make your payment.
If you pay via virtual check, then as soon as we verify your registration information and our systems verify your checking account information and funds availability, we will activate your account. Once we do that, you can get connected to the game service immediately. If we get your order by 10:00p.m. Eastern Time, we'll have your account activated that same evening. It's THAT easy to get online, even if you don't want to use a credit card. With Stratocash™, no credit cards or stamps are needed! (Fax payment and Virtual Checks are currently only available for accounts drawn on U.S. banks--we're working hard on expanding this to other countries, too).
Why do you charge more than the service providers' regular (credit card) subscription rate?
We charge more to cover the higher expenses incurred when processing non-credit-card payments. The greater expense involved in handling non-credit-card payments is why most services will not even offer alternate options. We feel our prices are reasonable--after all, some services charge $5/month just for a direct debit option--we offer you much more flexibility than that!
How do I get an account?
Simply create your account on the service provider or online game site you wish to subscribe to. They will have a link on their Registration or Account Management page directing you to Stratocash.com if you wish to pay by a means other than a credit card. When you arrive on our site, simply fill out the subscription request form for the Content Provider you want access to. We'll process your registration request. NONE of the information you provide is EVER made available to ANY third parties, other than the content provider you are subscribing to. As soon as we receive and process your payment, we will create your account (or convert your pre-existing account to Stratocash™ billing) and get you online. We can usually have you online very shortly after you submit your registration and payment--generally within 15-30 minutes or less during our extended business hours of 9am - 10pm U.S. Eastern Time.
What if I have a technical problem with a service that I'm paying for?
You get technical help from that service just as if you were a normal (credit card) customer of theirs.
What if I decide I want to put my account on my own credit card one day?
You can do that anytime you want. Simply select it on the merchant's point-of-sale page.
Do I have to be 18?
You must be 18 years old before you can enter into any legal agreement or contract.
Can I get an account that gives me access to a service you don't currently have listed?
We can only provide our Stratocash™ payment options for merchants with whom we have a payment processing agreement. If you would like to patronize a merchant but need them to begin accepting Stratocash™, please let them—and us—know!
What happens if I bounce a check to Stratocash™, or my direct withdrawal does not go through?
Like any other merchant, we charge a bad-check fee. Your account will be immediately suspended until a "good" payment is received. That can be done the same day, using a credit card, Wire Transfer, or Western Union. If it happens too many times, we may require a small deposit in addition to your payment of our bad check fee ($25) before we re-enable your account. In any partnership, both sides have to adhere to their bargains and we find this is the best way to keep the prices down for those whose checks clear reliably.
Will you give out my registration information to other 3rd parties like marketing organizations or other companies?
Absolutely not. Your privacy is first and foremost with us. We figure if you want to be spammed with junk email day in and day out, or if you want telemarketers to call you during dinner, you can arrange that yourself.
